Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
