An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
