In the course of a public appearance to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, the King was confronted by a individual who questioned him about Prince Andrew's connections with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The individual inquired how long the King had been known about his sibling's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had instructed the police to "cover up" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of supporters and cheers for the monarch, who was in Staffordshire for an engagement.

The Duke of York's links with Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks. The royal, who relinquished his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you been aware about Andrew and Epstein? Did you request the authorities to cover up for Andrew?"

The King did not respond but carried on greeting fans, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One supporter can be overheard requesting him for a hug.

A female bystander outside the venue was also heard telling the heckler to "leave" and to "be quiet".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The scandal over Prince Andrew's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been brought back into focus by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre claims she had sex with the prince on multiple times, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with the plaintiff in 2022, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. In 2019, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

New Inquiries Over Finances and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Windsor mansion has intensified the examination over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for renovations.

The political party said he should be summoned before MPs to give testimony about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last Thursday, the authorities declined to give MPs time to discuss the royal's status or his residence, despite increasing calls for scrutiny.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might move out of his current residence - or where he might go.
