The tall defender A nuisance at set pieces, per usual, but may be an alternative for Stones at the back rather than alongside him. A loose ball later in the match came close to a goal for Albania. 6

Nico O’Reilly A further assured performance from the rising star after his first cap against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the opportunity from a gorgeous backheel behind their defense. His position is firmly his already. 7/10

The newcomer His first start in an England shirt. A bit loose when playing out however his whipped corners were a threat. An effective tempo-setter for the manager to have versus sides that sit back. Booked for a poorly timed challenge. 6/10

Declan Rice Deliveries on corner kicks and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed room to move on the left but was in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a well-earned break on the hour mark. Six

The star midfielder Played in a high spot out wide and contributed with the hard yards. Demonstrated flashes of quality but mishit a shot high. Withdrawn late on for a teammate, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted late in the match. 6/10

The captain The match-winner with his two more goals in an England shirt. His first a classic poacher’s finish and his next an excellent header having drifted away off his defender. Aged 32, he continues to improve with the national team are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8

The attacker Struggled to get into the game on the left flank. Had a good opening when set up by Bellingham yet the keeper made the save. Rashford produced a bigger effect after coming on. 5
